Honda Amaze Next Generation Model To Launch in India in 2024
The all-new Amaze will replace the current-generation sedan that went on sale back in 2018
The Honda Amaze is a popular compact sedan that has been in the market for nearly five years and is due for an upgrade. Price range of Honda Amaze is starting from Rs. ₹6 89 000. The next-generation Amaze is expected to be revealed globally next year and will be based on an updated version of the current Amaze’s platform, which is also being used for Honda’s upcoming midsize SUV in India. The new Amaze will likely feature a design that mirrors Honda’s recent sedans, such as the City and the Accord. The interior will feature a fresh layout and a possible free-standing touchscreen setup, which is in line with Honda’s current offerings.
As far as powertrain options go, the new Amaze is expected to feature a 1.2-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine, producing 90 horsepower and 110 Nm of torque, paired with either a 5-speed manual or a CVT automatic gearbox. Unlike the current model, the new Amaze will not come with a diesel engine, as Honda has discontinued diesel engines in India ahead of the RDE norms coming into effect in April 2023. There is also a possibility that Honda may offer a factory-fitted CNG kit, but this remains to be seen.
The new Amaze is expected to make its global debut in the second half of 2024, and upon launch, it will compete with the likes of Hyundai Aura, Tata Tigor, and Maruti Dzire, which is also due for a full model change in 2024.
